Jo Hawkins
Jo qualified as a solicitor in 1992 having completed her training at the commercial practice, Taylor Vinters in Cambridge. After qualifying Jo moved to J Garrard & Allen in Olney where she established the family department. In 1994 Jo was made a partner at J Garrard & Allen and continued to build and develop the practice. Jo has also, in order to enhance her skills as a family lawyer, trained as a mediator and collaborative lawyer.
In 2001 Jo decided to set up independently and created a purely family law practice-recognising that in fact the skills required by family lawyers, and the expectations of clients experiencing a relationship breakdown, were different from those required in other areas of law. Since then Hawkins Family Law has continued to grow but maintains its original ethos of providing professional quality advice to individuals.
Jo is on the committee of the local Resolution Group in Milton Keynes and is also a member of the Milton Keynes Collaborative Group
